I had a very eventful weekend. On Saturday a whole group of us got together for a game of baseball. We went down to the park and the 16 of us had a great time playing baseball. And considering that more than have the players probably had not played baseball (or any sport really!) in many years, I think we all did quite well. Although there is some debate on the final score, I believe my team won, if only by a couple runs.
After baseball we all went back to Bev's house (she's the one who arranged this all -- Yay Bev!) and had dinner. There was so much food. We had steak, chicken, baked potato, macaroni salad, potato salad, veggies and dip, and lots of chips. It was soooo good. And of course a couple of drinks here and there. :) A while after dinner Sheri decided that she wanted to go swimming, so a few of us went over to the neighbour's pool and went down the slide into the pool. (Don't worry, it wasn't a random neighbour's pool that we went into. She was at the party too.) It was very refreshing and enjoyable. Sheri got a couple of bruises, but survived the slide.
On Sunday, I went up to my Dad's house for Father's Day. The family bunch was all going to be there. The weather was amazing -- not to humid in Cobourg. We played botchi ball, lawn darts, and croquet. Then we had another great dinner. So much food this weekend!
Now I'm very sore from working my muscles during baseball, and being so active this weekend. I think I need to do this more often. :)
